Sony HDW-F500 High Definition VTR

Ideal for studio applications where robust high-definition is the ultimate goal, Sony's HDW-500 HDCAM Studio VTR will accept both 1920 x 1080 and 1920x 1035 video standards. The VTR will operate in record and/or playback at either 59.94 Hz or 60 Hz field rates, and can be synchronized with the525-line black burst signal (59.94 Hz). It features 4 channels of AES/EBU digital audio. The unit's also equipped with dynamic tracking providing broadcast quality playback over the range -1 to +2x Playspeed.

   Video remote controller for HDW-500. Permits separate control of the HD, D-1 and D-2 outputs. Also enables the control of various image enhancement features. Multiple memory addresses enable a number of settings to be saved.

* HKDV505 Pre-Read Edit Confidence Board 
   HKDV-505 Pre-read Edit Confidence Board. Board contains a second playback signal system. Allows VTR to decode the O/P of the Video Confidence heads when the VTR is in Pre-read and the main Playback Signal system is decoding the O/P of the advance head. Option is unique to the HDW-500.

Sony HDW - F500

High-Definition editing recorder utilizing HDCAM compression. The switchable frame rate allows recordings to be made at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97and 30 frames per second progressive, and 50, 59.94 or 60 fields per second interlace. Audio capabilities include (4) 20-bit channels, capable of handling Dolby "E" encoded audio tracks. HD SDI (with 4 channels of embedded audio) and AES/EBU audio interfaces are standard. Options are available for integrated downconversion to 525 video (HKDV-501A) and 3:2 pulldown to1080i (HKDV-507D) for handling 23.98 or 24P material in exisiting systems. RS 422 control interface is standard, and 50-pin control interface is optional (BKDW-509).
